As a material, Silicone is widely chosen for flexibility that holds at very low temperatures and an exceptionally wide service temperature range. This material stands up to dry heat, ozone and UV exposure, and many oxidizing chemicals. Rated temperature range runs from -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C) in continuous service.
