S70FDA224 is an AS568-224 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 1.734 in (44.04 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.012 in (51.1 mm). In service, this o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.
Silicone is valued for excellent electrical insulating properties and an exceptionally wide service temperature range. The material holds up against extreme heat and cold, weathering, and many oxidizing chemicals. Continuous operating temperature is published at -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C).
This o-ring meets FDA requirements for food contact, is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. Maintenance and OEM teams specify it across electronics and electrical enclosures, sanitary process lines, and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
S70FDA224 ships individually. Unit weight is approximately 2.021 g and nominal inside diameter is listed as 1 3/4 inch. Check the compound against your process media, pressure and temperature before committing to a design. APG supports cross-referencing from drawings, samples and competitor numbers when a listed size is not an exact fit.
