The S70FDA242 is an AS568-242 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 3.984 in (101.19 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.262 in (108.25 mm). This o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

Silicone is specified here for exceptionally wide service temperature range, physiological inertness and low toxicity. The compound resists weathering, extreme heat and cold, and ozone and UV exposure. Published continuous service range is -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). It should not be specified for service in steam above its rated range or abrasive dynamic service.
