The S70FDA914 is an AS568-914 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 1.047 in (26.59 mm), a cross section of 0.116 in (2.95 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.279 in (32.49 mm). This o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

Silicone is specified here for very good compression set resistance across its range and exceptionally wide service temperature range. The compound resists dry heat, weathering, and many oxidizing chemicals. Published continuous service range is -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). Applications involving abrasive dynamic service or hydrocarbon fuels and oils call for a different compound.
