APG stocks the S70FDA005, an AS568-005 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 0.101 in (2.57 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.241 in (6.12 mm). An o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

As a material, Silicone is specified for excellent electrical insulating properties and flexibility that holds at very low temperatures. The material holds up against ozone and UV exposure, weathering, and extreme heat and cold. Rated temperature range runs from -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C) in continuous service.
