S70FDA008 is an AS568-008 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 0.176 in (4.47 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.316 in (8.03 mm). In service, this o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

Expect good resistance to weathering, many oxidizing chemicals, and dry heat. Silicone offers flexibility that holds at very low temperatures and an exceptionally wide service temperature range. Published continuous service range is -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). Applications involving steam above its rated range or concentrated acids call for a different compound.
