S70FDA170 is an AS568-170 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 7.737 in (196.52 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 7.943 in (201.75 mm). In service, this o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

It resists ozone and UV exposure, extreme heat and cold, and dry heat. Silicone is specified for excellent electrical insulating properties, physiological inertness and low toxicity. Rated temperature range runs from -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C) in continuous service. Exposure to steam above its rated range or abrasive dynamic service will shorten service life.

This o-ring meets FDA requirements for food contact, is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. It sees regular use in medical devices, ovens and heated equipment, and electronics and electrical enclosures.
