The S70FDA254 is an AS568-254 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 5.484 in (139.29 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.762 in (146.35 mm). This o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

Silicone is specified here for excellent electrical insulating properties and very good compression set resistance across its range. This material stands up to many oxidizing chemicals, extreme heat and cold, and weathering. Rated temperature range runs from -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C) in continuous service. It is not the right choice where hydrocarbon fuels and oils or steam above its rated range are present.
