-004 RED SILICONE 70D O-RING

This o-ring is supplied in AS568-004 red Silicone 70 Shore A supplied with an inside diameter of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), catalogued under part number S70MD004. It compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

As a material, Silicone offers very good compression set resistance across its range and flexibility that holds at very low temperatures. This material stands up to ozone and UV exposure, weathering, and extreme heat and cold. Continuous operating temperature is published at -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). It is not the right choice where hydrocarbon fuels and oils or concentrated acids are present.

The compound is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. Common environments for this compound include pharmaceutical manufacturing, ovens and heated equipment, and sanitary process lines.
