The S70MD018 is an AS568-018 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 0.739 in (18.77 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.879 in (22.33 mm). This o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

Silicone is known for very good compression set resistance across its range, physiological inertness and low toxicity. This material stands up to dry heat, ozone and UV exposure, and weathering. Service temperature is rated from -80°F (-62.2°C) through 450°F (232.2°C). It is not the right choice where steam above its rated range or hydrocarbon fuels and oils are present.

This o-ring is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. Common environments for this compound include pharmaceutical manufacturing, food and beverage processing, and sanitary process lines.

Stocked as S70MD018 and sold individually. Nominal inside diameter is listed as 3/4 inch. Application requirements vary, so validate compatibility with your process conditions prior to installation.
