APG stocks the S70MD109, an AS568-109 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 0.299 in (7.59 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.505 in (12.83 mm). An o-ring delivers dependable bidirectional sealing in a compact groove envelope.

Silicone is specified here for flexibility that holds at very low temperatures, physiological inertness and low toxicity. The compound resists ozone and UV exposure, dry heat, and weathering. Service temperature is rated from -80°F (-62.2°C) through 450°F (232.2°C). Exposure to steam above its rated range or abrasive dynamic service will shorten service life.
