S70MD150 is an AS568-150 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 2.862 in (72.69 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.068 in (77.93 mm). In service, this o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

Silicone is specified here for exceptionally wide service temperature range and very good compression set resistance across its range. Expect good resistance to many oxidizing chemicals, extreme heat and cold, and dry heat. The material carries a published service range of -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C).

The compound is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. It sees regular use in medical devices, ovens and heated equipment, and sanitary process lines.
