The S70MD003 is an AS568-003 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 0.056 in (1.42 mm), a cross section of 0.06 in (1.52 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.176 in (4.47 mm). This o-ring delivers dependable bidirectional sealing in a compact groove envelope.

This material stands up to weathering, extreme heat and cold, and many oxidizing chemicals. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Silicone offers an exceptionally wide service temperature range and flexibility that holds at very low temperatures. Published continuous service range is -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). It is not the right choice where steam above its rated range or abrasive dynamic service are present.

This o-ring is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. Common environments for this compound include ovens and heated equipment, sanitary process lines, and electronics and electrical enclosures.
