-010 RED SILICONE 70D O-RING

APG stocks the S70MD010, an AS568-010 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 0.239 in (6.07 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.379 in (9.63 mm). An o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

As a material, Silicone is widely chosen for very good compression set resistance across its range, physiological inertness and low toxicity. This material stands up to weathering, many oxidizing chemicals, and extreme heat and cold. The material carries a published service range of -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). It is not the right choice where concentrated acids or hydrocarbon fuels and oils are present.

The compound is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. Common environments for this compound include pharmaceutical manufacturing, ovens and heated equipment, and sanitary process lines.
