-012 RED SILICONE 70D O-RING

S70MD012 is an AS568-012 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 0.364 in (9.25 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.504 in (12.8 mm). In service, this o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

Silicone is specified here for very good compression set resistance across its range and exceptionally wide service temperature range. The material holds up against weathering, ozone and UV exposure, and extreme heat and cold. Service temperature is rated from -80°F (-62.2°C) through 450°F (232.2°C). Applications involving hydrocarbon fuels and oils or steam above its rated range call for a different compound.
