-016 RED SILICONE 70D O-RING

S70MD016 is an AS568-016 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 0.614 in (15.6 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.754 in (19.15 mm). In service, this o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

Expect good resistance to many oxidizing chemicals, weathering, and dry heat. Silicone is known for an exceptionally wide service temperature range and flexibility that holds at very low temperatures. The material carries a published service range of -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). It should not be specified for service in abrasive dynamic service or concentrated acids.

This o-ring is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. You will find this material specified across ovens and heated equipment, electronics and electrical enclosures, and food and beverage processing.
