Ordered as S70MD021, this is an AS568-021 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 0.926 in (23.52 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.066 in (27.08 mm). The o-ring delivers dependable bidirectional sealing in a compact groove envelope.

Silicone is specified here for exceptionally wide service temperature range and flexibility that holds at very low temperatures. This material stands up to many oxidizing chemicals, dry heat, and ozone and UV exposure. Published continuous service range is -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). It is not the right choice where hydrocarbon fuels and oils or concentrated acids are present.

This o-ring is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. It sees regular use in ovens and heated equipment, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and sanitary process lines.
