-131 RED SILICONE 70D O-RING

Part number S70MD131 is an AS568-131 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 1.674 in (42.52 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.88 in (47.75 mm). An o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

It resists weathering, many oxidizing chemicals, and ozone and UV exposure. Silicone is widely chosen for flexibility that holds at very low temperatures and very good compression set resistance across its range. Rated temperature range runs from -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C) in continuous service. It should not be specified for service in concentrated acids or abrasive dynamic service.

The compound is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. Maintenance and OEM teams specify it across ovens and heated equipment, electronics and electrical enclosures, and food and beverage processing.
