Product Specification

The S70MD212 is an AS568-212 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 0.859 in (21.82 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.137 in (28.88 mm). This o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

The compound resists weathering, ozone and UV exposure, and extreme heat and cold. Silicone delivers an exceptionally wide service temperature range, physiological inertness and low toxicity. Continuous operating temperature is published at -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). It is not the right choice where hydrocarbon fuels and oils or concentrated acids are present.

This o-ring is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. Common environments for this compound include ovens and heated equipment, medical devices, and sanitary process lines.

Reference part number S70MD212 when ordering; the item is sold individually. Nominal inside diameter is listed as 7/8 inch. Check the compound against your process media, pressure and temperature before committing to a design.
