-222 RED SILICONE 70D O-RING

The S70MD222 is an AS568-222 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 1.484 in (37.69 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.762 in (44.75 mm). This o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

Expect good resistance to extreme heat and cold, dry heat, and weathering. Silicone is specified for an exceptionally wide service temperature range, physiological inertness and low toxicity. Service temperature is rated from -80°F (-62.2°C) through 450°F (232.2°C).

The compound is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. It sees regular use in medical devices, food and beverage processing, and ovens and heated equipment.
