APG stocks the S70MD261, an AS568-261 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 6.734 in (171.04 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 7.012 in (178.1 mm). An o-ring delivers dependable bidirectional sealing in a compact groove envelope.

The material holds up against dry heat, weathering, and extreme heat and cold. Silicone is specified for flexibility that holds at very low temperatures and excellent electrical insulating properties. Continuous operating temperature is published at -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). Exposure to hydrocarbon fuels and oils or concentrated acids will shorten service life.
