-267 RED SILICONE 70D O-RING

APG stocks the S70MD267, an AS568-267 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 8.234 in (209.14 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 8.512 in (216.2 mm). An o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

This material stands up to many oxidizing chemicals, ozone and UV exposure, and extreme heat and cold. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Silicone is specified for an exceptionally wide service temperature range, physiological inertness and low toxicity. Rated temperature range runs from -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C) in continuous service. Applications involving steam above its rated range or concentrated acids call for a different compound.

This o-ring is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. Typical settings include medical devices, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and food and beverage processing.
