This o-ring is supplied in AS568-329 red Silicone 70 Shore A with an inside diameter of 1.975 in (50.17 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.395 in (60.83 mm), catalogued under part number S70MD329. It provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

Silicone is widely chosen for very good compression set resistance across its range and flexibility that holds at very low temperatures. Expect good resistance to ozone and UV exposure, extreme heat and cold, and weathering. Published continuous service range is -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). Exposure to concentrated acids or steam above its rated range will shorten service life.
