Ordered as S70MD342, this is an AS568-342 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 3.6 in (91.44 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.02 in (102.11 mm). The o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

Silicone is specified here for excellent electrical insulating properties and exceptionally wide service temperature range. Expect good resistance to many oxidizing chemicals, dry heat, and weathering. Continuous operating temperature is published at -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C).
