S70165 is an AS568-165 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 6.487 in (164.77 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 6.693 in (170 mm). In service, this o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

Silicone is specified here for very good compression set resistance across its range, physiological inertness and low toxicity. It resists ozone and UV exposure, many oxidizing chemicals, and dry heat. Published continuous service range is -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). It should not be specified for service in hydrocarbon fuels and oils or abrasive dynamic service.
