S70241 is an AS568-241 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 3.859 in (98.02 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.137 in (105.08 mm). In service, this o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

This material stands up to many oxidizing chemicals, dry heat, and extreme heat and cold. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Silicone is valued for flexibility that holds at very low temperatures and excellent electrical insulating properties. Service temperature is rated from -80°F (-62.2°C) through 450°F (232.2°C).
