-279 RED SILICONE 70D O-RING

S70279 is an AS568-279 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 12.984 in (329.79 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 13.262 in (336.85 mm). In service, this o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

Silicone is specified here for exceptionally wide service temperature range and excellent electrical insulating properties. The compound resists extreme heat and cold, dry heat, and many oxidizing chemicals. Published continuous service range is -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). It is not the right choice where hydrocarbon fuels and oils or steam above its rated range are present.

Typical settings include food and beverage processing, sanitary process lines, and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
