-002 RED SILICONE 70D O-RING

APG stocks the S70002, an AS568-002 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 0.042 in (1.07 mm), a cross section of 0.05 in (1.27 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.142 in (3.61 mm). An o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

The compound resists extreme heat and cold, dry heat, and weathering. Silicone is specified for very good compression set resistance across its range and excellent electrical insulating properties. The material carries a published service range of -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). It should not be specified for service in concentrated acids or steam above its rated range.
