The S70004 is an AS568-004 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.21 in (5.33 mm). This o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

The compound resists extreme heat and cold, weathering, and dry heat. Silicone is widely chosen for an exceptionally wide service temperature range and flexibility that holds at very low temperatures. Rated temperature range runs from -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C) in continuous service. It is not the right choice where abrasive dynamic service or concentrated acids are present.

Common environments for this compound include sanitary process lines, electronics and electrical enclosures, and ovens and heated equipment.
