2MM CS X 12.5MM ID RED SILICONE 70D

S2X12.5 is a red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 12.5 mm (0.492 in), a cross section of 2 mm (0.079 in), and an outside diameter of 16.5 mm (0.65 in). In service, this o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

Expect good resistance to many oxidizing chemicals, dry heat, and weathering. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Silicone offers physiological inertness and low toxicity, excellent electrical insulating properties. The material carries a published service range of -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). It should not be specified for service in steam above its rated range or concentrated acids.

This item meets FDA requirements for food contact. It sees regular use in pharmaceutical manufacturing, electronics and electrical enclosures, and ovens and heated equipment.
