-148 RED SILICONE 70D O-RING

S70148 is an AS568-148 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 2.737 in (69.52 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.943 in (74.75 mm). In service, this o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

Expect good resistance to dry heat, extreme heat and cold, and weathering. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Silicone is widely chosen for physiological inertness and low toxicity, an exceptionally wide service temperature range. Rated temperature range runs from -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C) in continuous service. It should not be specified for service in steam above its rated range or hydrocarbon fuels and oils.

It sees regular use in medical devices, sanitary process lines, and ovens and heated equipment.
