Part number S70160 is an AS568-160 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 5.237 in (133.02 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.443 in (138.25 mm). An o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

This material stands up to many oxidizing chemicals, weathering, and dry heat. Silicone is specified for excellent electrical insulating properties and flexibility that holds at very low temperatures. The material carries a published service range of -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). Applications involving abrasive dynamic service or steam above its rated range call for a different compound.
