Ordered as S1.6X16.1, this is a red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 16.1 mm (0.634 in), a cross section of 1.6 mm (0.063 in), and an outside diameter of 19.3 mm (0.76 in). The o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

Silicone is specified here for exceptionally wide service temperature range and flexibility that holds at very low temperatures. The compound resists extreme heat and cold, weathering, and ozone and UV exposure. Rated temperature range runs from -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C) in continuous service.
