-216 RED SILICONE 70D O-RING

This o-ring is supplied in AS568-216 red Silicone 70 Shore A built to an inside diameter of 1.109 in (28.17 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.387 in (35.23 mm), catalogued under part number S70216. It creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

The compound resists many oxidizing chemicals, ozone and UV exposure, and weathering. Silicone is widely chosen for an exceptionally wide service temperature range and very good compression set resistance across its range. Continuous operating temperature is published at -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). Applications involving steam above its rated range or hydrocarbon fuels and oils call for a different compound.
