-217 RED SILICONE 70D O-RING

This o-ring is supplied in AS568-217 red Silicone 70 Shore A built to an inside diameter of 1.171 in (29.74 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.449 in (36.8 mm), catalogued under part number S70217. It remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

Silicone is specified here for physiological inertness and low toxicity, flexibility that holds at very low temperatures. Expect good resistance to weathering, ozone and UV exposure, and many oxidizing chemicals. Rated temperature range runs from -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C) in continuous service. It is not the right choice where abrasive dynamic service or hydrocarbon fuels and oils are present.
