Part number S3X22.2 is a red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 22.2 mm (0.874 in), a cross section of 3 mm (0.118 in), and an outside diameter of 28.2 mm (1.11 in). An o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

The material holds up against ozone and UV exposure, weathering, and many oxidizing chemicals. Silicone is known for an exceptionally wide service temperature range and very good compression set resistance across its range. Published continuous service range is -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C).
