S2X24 is a red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 24 mm (0.945 in), a cross section of 2 mm (0.079 in), and an outside diameter of 28 mm (1.1 in). In service, this o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

Expect good resistance to ozone and UV exposure, dry heat, and weathering. Silicone is specified for an exceptionally wide service temperature range and excellent electrical insulating properties. The material carries a published service range of -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). It is not the right choice where hydrocarbon fuels and oils or abrasive dynamic service are present.

The compound meets FDA requirements for food contact. It sees regular use in electronics and electrical enclosures, sanitary process lines, and ovens and heated equipment.
