APG stocks the S70247, an AS568-247 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 4.609 in (117.07 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.887 in (124.13 mm). An o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

The material holds up against ozone and UV exposure, dry heat, and extreme heat and cold. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Silicone is widely chosen for flexibility that holds at very low temperatures and an exceptionally wide service temperature range. Published continuous service range is -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). It should not be specified for service in concentrated acids or abrasive dynamic service.
