APG stocks the S1.5X2.5, a red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 2.5 mm (0.098 in), a cross section of 1.5 mm (0.059 in), and an outside diameter of 5.5 mm (0.22 in). Silicone is specified here for physiological inertness and low toxicity, flexibility that holds at very low temperatures. It resists extreme heat and cold, ozone and UV exposure, and weathering. Rated temperature range runs from -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C) in continuous service. It is not the right choice where concentrated acids or steam above its rated range are present.

This o-ring meets FDA requirements for food contact. It sees regular use in medical devices, ovens and heated equipment, and electronics and electrical enclosures.
