APG stocks the S2X2.5, a red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 2.5 mm (0.098 in), a cross section of 2 mm (0.079 in), and an outside diameter of 6.5 mm (0.26 in). An o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

The compound resists weathering, many oxidizing chemicals, and ozone and UV exposure. Silicone is widely chosen for physiological inertness and low toxicity, an exceptionally wide service temperature range. Service temperature is rated from -80°F (-62.2°C) through 450°F (232.2°C). It should not be specified for service in hydrocarbon fuels and oils or steam above its rated range.
