APG stocks the S70252, an AS568-252 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 5.234 in (132.94 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.512 in (140 mm). An o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

As a material, Silicone offers physiological inertness and low toxicity, an exceptionally wide service temperature range. The compound resists many oxidizing chemicals, weathering, and extreme heat and cold. Published continuous service range is -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). Exposure to abrasive dynamic service or concentrated acids will shorten service life.
