APG stocks the S70256, an AS568-256 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 5.734 in (145.64 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 6.012 in (152.7 mm). An o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

Silicone is specified here for very good compression set resistance across its range and excellent electrical insulating properties. Expect good resistance to ozone and UV exposure, many oxidizing chemicals, and dry heat. Rated temperature range runs from -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C) in continuous service. It is not the right choice where steam above its rated range or hydrocarbon fuels and oils are present.
