-318 RED SILICONE 70D O-RING

S70318 is an AS568-318 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 0.975 in (24.77 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.395 in (35.43 mm). In service, this o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

As a material, Silicone is specified for an exceptionally wide service temperature range and very good compression set resistance across its range. The compound resists extreme heat and cold, many oxidizing chemicals, and weathering. Service temperature is rated from -80°F (-62.2°C) through 450°F (232.2°C). Exposure to concentrated acids or steam above its rated range will shorten service life.

It sees regular use in medical devices, sanitary process lines, and electronics and electrical enclosures.
