APG stocks the S70342, an AS568-342 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 3.6 in (91.44 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.02 in (102.11 mm). An o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

As a material, Silicone delivers excellent electrical insulating properties and very good compression set resistance across its range. It resists many oxidizing chemicals, extreme heat and cold, and dry heat. Continuous operating temperature is published at -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). Exposure to hydrocarbon fuels and oils or abrasive dynamic service will shorten service life.
