The S1.2X3.5 is a red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 3.5 mm (0.138 in), a cross section of 1.2 mm (0.047 in), and an outside diameter of 5.9 mm (0.23 in). This o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

Silicone is specified here for physiological inertness and low toxicity, flexibility that holds at very low temperatures. The compound resists extreme heat and cold, weathering, and ozone and UV exposure. The material carries a published service range of -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C).
