Part number S70359 is an AS568-359 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 5.725 in (145.42 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 6.145 in (156.08 mm). An o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

The compound resists ozone and UV exposure, extreme heat and cold, and many oxidizing chemicals. Silicone is widely chosen for an exceptionally wide service temperature range, physiological inertness and low toxicity. Service temperature is rated from -80°F (-62.2°C) through 450°F (232.2°C). Exposure to steam above its rated range or abrasive dynamic service will shorten service life.
