S70379 is an AS568-379 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 10.975 in (278.77 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 11.395 in (289.43 mm). In service, this o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

It resists ozone and UV exposure, weathering, and extreme heat and cold. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Silicone is valued for excellent electrical insulating properties and an exceptionally wide service temperature range. Service temperature is rated from -80°F (-62.2°C) through 450°F (232.2°C). It is not the right choice where hydrocarbon fuels and oils or steam above its rated range are present.

It sees regular use in food and beverage processing, electronics and electrical enclosures, and medical devices.
