It resists weathering, extreme heat and cold, and ozone and UV exposure. Silicone delivers an exceptionally wide service temperature range, physiological inertness and low toxicity. Published continuous service range is -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). It should not be specified for service in concentrated acids or abrasive dynamic service.
