APG stocks the S3X39.2, a red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 39.2 mm (1.543 in), a cross section of 3 mm (0.118 in), and an outside diameter of 45.2 mm (1.78 in). An o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

Expect good resistance to many oxidizing chemicals, extreme heat and cold, and dry heat. Silicone is valued for an exceptionally wide service temperature range and very good compression set resistance across its range. Continuous operating temperature is published at -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). Applications involving abrasive dynamic service or hydrocarbon fuels and oils call for a different compound.

This o-ring meets FDA requirements for food contact. It sees regular use in medical devices, food and beverage processing, and ovens and heated equipment.
