-403 RED SILICONE 70D O-RING

APG stocks the S70403, an AS568-403 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 1.725 in (43.82 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.275 in (57.79 mm). An o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

Silicone is specified here for excellent electrical insulating properties and exceptionally wide service temperature range. This material stands up to many oxidizing chemicals, dry heat, and ozone and UV exposure. Service temperature is rated from -80°F (-62.2°C) through 450°F (232.2°C). It should not be specified for service in steam above its rated range or concentrated acids.
